In this overview you manage the category structure. On the left of the screen you see a category tree in which you can see the structure of the category tree. All categories are listed in the table on the right. You can click on a category here to view and manage the details.
The following properties can be registered with a category:
| Field | Explanation |
| Parent | Here you can optionally select a parent category. The category you are currently editing will then become a subcategory of the selected category. |
| Reference | The reference number of the category. |
| Description | The name of the category. |
| Status | The status of the category. This status is purely informative and is not used further within VendorLink. |
| Influencable | Determines whether in the Spend module the volume within this category is considered influenceable or unaffectable. |
| Risk | The risk value. This is used in the Kraljic Matrix in Vendors > Risk Analysis. |
| Business impact | The influence value. This is used in the Kraljic Matrix in Vendors > Risk Analysis. |
| The type of legality (work, delivery service). This field is only visible if a legality value has been entered for at least one procedure in Admin > Contracts settings > Contract procedures. | |
| Number of lyears of legality test | The number of years in the past that a legitimacy test must be performed. This field is only visible when values are filled in Admin > Spend settings > Legitimacy analysis. |
