Via Risk Assessment Classification, the supplier can be classified so that the correct Risk Assessment can then be carried out. An example of this is a CIA triad.
This classification is carried out via a questionnaire with weightings and a workflow.
Before we begin
Activating Risk Assessment Classification
First, Risk Assessment Classification must be activated in Vendor Rating. This means that you must have at least the Vendor Rating module to use Risk Assessment Classification. Activating Risk Assessment Classification requires access to the Admin module (your user account must have the Client Administrator role).

Create and set up a Risk Assessment Classification template
Click here to read how to create and set up a Risk Assessment template.
Navigating to Risk Assessment
- In the main menu bar, click Vendor Rating.
- Click on Risk Assessment in the sub-menu bar on the left.
Here you see a Start button, which we will use in the next step. If Risk Assessment processes have already started, they are shown under the heading 'List'.
Starting a Risk Assessment process
- In the main menu bar, click Vendor Rating.
- Click on Risk Assessment in the sub-menu bar on the left.
- Click on the 'Start' button.
- Select a Risk Assessment template and a supplier, then click Start to start the Risk Assessment process.
- The Risk Assessment process has now started, and can be completed by clicking on it in Vendor Rating> Risk Assessment. After the Risk Assessment has been completed, you can have it assessed by means of a workflow.
Start a workflow for your Risk Assessment
Once a Risk Assessment has been completed, you can have it inspected by other VendorLink users through a workflow. First create a workflow in 'Risk Assessment' in Admin > General settings > Workflows.
- In the main menu bar, click Vendor Rating.
- Click on Risk Assessment in the sub-menu bar on the left.
- Under 'List', click on the Risk Assessment for which you want to start a workflow.
- Click 'Start review' in the top left.
- Select the desired workflow. You can choose from all workflows with the type 'Risk Assessment' in Admin > General settings > Workflows.
- You will now see the workflow of your choice on the right side of the screen. Link at least one user to each step via the 'Add user' button. This can only be users with the user role 'Risk Assessment workflow user'.
- Click on 'Start workflow' to start the workflow.
The workflow will now be performed based on how the chosen workflow is set up in Admin > General settings > Workflows. The users receive an email with the request to approve or reject the Risk Assessment. The progress of the workflow can be seen in the Risk Assessment details. - When the workflow is approved, the last user will have to perform a classification. After completion of the workflow, a pop-up automatically opens in which classifications can be assigned. The classifications already selected are based on the answers given in the risk assessment. You can make changes to this selection by removing classifications or adding new classifications.
- Vul een geldigheidsdatum voor de classificatie en eventueel een opmerking in, en klik op 'Classificeer'.
- De resultaten, inclusief eventuele opmerking, zijn nu te zien linksboven in de risk assessment details.
