The article below pertains to Procure to Pay (P2P) for the following applications and/or module(s):
AP Automation
Logistic lines can have associated charge lines. In the invoice screen of AP Automation the charge lines can be found under the logistic line. When retrieving the order data, all associated charge lines are automatically included. The charge lines are indented in the overview. A charge line is always linked to a logistic line. Therefore, a charge line at this level cannot exist independently. When a logistic line is deselected and is therefore not included in further processing, the associated charge lines are automatically deselected as well. However, any charge line can be unchecked when coding.
There are 3 different categories of charge lines. Each category has a different way of determining the amount of the charge. The charges will change depending on the category when quantities and/or amounts are adjusted.
- Fixed: A charge line of the Fixed category contains a fixed amount for the charge. Regardless of whether the line is invoiced fully or partly, the charge will keep the same total value for both 10 and 5 pieces.
- Pieces: A charge line of the Pieces category contains an amount per piece. Suppose there are 10 pieces on the invoice and the charge amount per piece is 2 euros, the total charge will be 20 euros. If only 5 pieces are invoiced, the charge will automatically be adjusted to 10 euros.
- Percent: A charge line of the Percent category contains a percentage by which the charge amount is calculated. In the event that only part is invoiced or the amount differs, the charge will also change in percentage terms.
This example shows 3 logistic lines with different charge lines types:
