The article outlines the process for importing custom field values into contracts within the Contract Management module.
Users must upload a file using a template available in the import process, ensuring the file meets specific column requirements to avoid import failure.
Key columns include "CustomFieldName," which must match an existing field name in the system, "ContractId," requiring a reference value from the contract, and "CustomFieldValue," which allows alphanumeric characters and specific date formats if applicable.
The correct completion of these fields ensures the successful import of custom field values into the contracts.
The article below pertains to Source to Contract (S2C) for the following applications and/or module(s):
Contract Management
When using the import process 'Contracts - Import Contract Custom Field Values', you need to upload a file containing values for custom fields that exist in your contracts in the Contracts module. You will use the template that you can download in step 2 of the import process.
The values will be added to the contract custom fields in the Contracts module. You will see the values reflected in the details of the respective contracts.
Below are all the columns from the import template explained. If the import file does not meet these requirements, the import will fail.

ContractId | The value from the 'Ref.' field of an existing contract in the Contracts module, to which you want to apply the custom fields. Note: the column is called 'ContractId', but the 'Ref.' value must be entered here. | Maximum of 50 alphanumeric characters. | Yes |
