The entered value must consist of 12 digits. When dividing the first 10 digits of this value by 97, the remainder of this division (the modulo) must equal the last two digits of the value.
Example
Payment reference 123123412328:
- The first 10 digits are 1231234123.
- 1231234123 divided by 97 is 12693135, with 28 as the remainder.
- The last two digits of the reference are 28 and match that remainder. The validation passes.
